A local couple are aiming to raise funds for Children in Need in the hope of winning the wedding of their dreams.

Laurence Amstad and his girlfriend of four years Amy Cox have been entered into a competition with Arrow FM.

To win the wedding the three couples that have been selected have to raise as much money within seven days for their chosen charity. The couple with the most money wins.

Laurence and Amy are up against couples from Brighton and Haywards Heath.

They launched their bid this week with a marathon of fund raising events, starting on Monday 22 with a gruelling run.

They followed this up, on Tuesday, with a chilli eating competition at Combe Haven Holiday Park.

On Wednesday they held a day-long cake sale and also organised a charity pyjama and onesie walk along Eastbourne seafront.

Their efforts continue this weekend with a Teddy Bear’s Picnic and a raffle and auction of promises at Bar Moda, in Hastings
