Selsey Snak Shak given Queen’s Award
The Snak Shak has been successfully helping young people for a decade after starting as a burger van in a supermarket car park.
In 2008, with the help of Lottery funding, it moved to a refurbished warehouse in the High Street, and ever since it has been providing a safe, warm place for Selsey youngsters to meet with their friends.

Marjorie said: “We are absolutely thrilled, it’s a wonderful reward for all our volunteers, some of whom have been with us since the start.
“We work closely with groups like Youth Dream so this is reward for them as well.”
Between 30 and 40 youngsters come to the Snak Shak every evening.
