Seven fire engines were called to a blaze involving 200 tonnes of scrap metal near Billingshurst, according to the fire service.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) said crews tackled the fire at a scrapyard in Adversane Lane at around 11.10pm last night (Friday, June 3).
Crews were at the incident until 6.54am this morning, according to WSFRS.
