VIDEO: Crowds turn out for Hastings Bonfire celebrations
The lighting of the beacon on the East Hill took place at 7pm before the procession got under way, starting by the White Rock Theatre, winding its way through the town centre, along the seafront before heading towards the Old Town and back to the beach.
This year’s effigy, consisting of three seagulls, was lit before the night’s festivities rounded off with a spectacular firework display.
