VIDEO: Mixed reaction to 20mph speed limits for Worthing

PROPOSALS for 20mph speed limits on many of Worthing’s residential roads have been met with a mixed reaction.

Last week, The Herald reported that county councillors at a meeting of Worthing County Local Committee had agreed to run a £50,000 public consultation, to gauge opinion on the plans.

The decision came after years of lobbying by 20’s Plenty campaigners, who believe a reduced speed limit will reduce the number of accidents.
