A village is inviting members of the public to its annual festival this weekend.

For the seventeenth year running, Henfield is set to host its annual garden and arts festival.

The event will start from 11am and run until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday with entrance to all venues free, although donations will be gratefully received.

Visitors will be able to wander around the village to discover 20 lovingly-tended gardens of all shapes and sizes with colourful flowers, shrubs and trees. Some will be open for the first time whilst others are old favourites.

For the keen gardener, plants will be on sale in gardens and other outlets.

Those popping down will also be able to visit community buildings and artists’ studios to admire and buy a huge range of locally-made arts and crafts.

Displays include photography, painting, ceramics, jewellery, garden sculpture and needlework among many others.
