Crawley Town boss John Yems was left frustrated and disappointed by his side's 1-1 draw with Southend United.

Ashley Nadesan gave his side a 21st minute lead but Southend secured their first point of the season thanks to Nathan Ralph's 85th minute volley.

And Yems said his side were lucky to come away with a point in the end.

Crawley Town v Southend United -

"We haven’t got beat and it’s another point from relegation but the performance just wasn’t acceptable.

"Credit to them, they made it hard for us as we knew they would but listen if we play like that again or show that commitment.

"In the end we are possibly lucky to come away with a point."

Reds had their chances to extend their lead, notably two glorious chances for Tyler Frost. But Yems does not blame him.
