Mitchell Garrett has agreed to join the Bears to run a team who will be very important to the club’s overall structure. Garrett is a UEFA B (outfield) coach and has a wealth of experience in coaching and developing players. He joins from Staines Town, where last season he was head coach of their Isthmian League under-18 side. A Bears spokesman said: “Mitch will work closely with the first and under-18 management teams and as under-23 manager, he will be supported by Paul Chapman and Paul Evento, who will continue in their existing roles with the team. “We’d like to wish Mitchell a long, successful and enjoyable time with the club.” A series of three friendlies had already been announced for the Heath under-23 squad ahead of Garrett’s arrival. Subject to whether football is back by then, they will host Sutton Common Rovers on July 28, Newhaven on August 6 and visit DCK Maidenbower on August 18. Littlehampton United FC Littlehampton United have announced they are looking to expand for when football returns. They tweeted: "We're currently looking for a reserve team assistant/coach and volunteers to assist with club administration. Bexhill FC An update today from Bexhill: "During these uncertain times, we are delighted to announce first team manager Ryan Light has agreed to stay in charge at the Polegrove, and will once again lead the club during the 2020-21 football season. " Three Bridges FC With the lockdown still in place, Three Bridges took to Zoom to announce the winners of their awards for the season. Two big winners were Tadley Bromage and Curtis Gayler. Bromage picked up both the Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player trophies, whilseCurtis Gayler won Goal of the Season (a curling long range effort at home to Chichester City) and then won the award for Manager's Player, Paul Faili's choice also being sponsored by the Crawley Observer. Billy Irving won the Young Player of the Year title and Lee Hall was acknowledged for reaching 100 appearances during the season. Three perpetual awards in honour of former Bridges stalwarts were also in the mix with Tom Hayward winning the Tom Gorringe Award for Clubman of the Year, Tracey Weller winning the Bobby Nash Award and Jamie Crellin receiving the Dave Sharpe trophy.
