Ten minutes later they were slightly stunned when Ferring equalised – but they were soon in front again as Johan VanDriel fired past the keeper following good work from James Williams.

Williams was again the provider as he set up Stevens for his second as the Colts went 3-1 up at half-time.

The second half saw Pagham raise their game further and they were duly rewarded when Jack Parham finished after a pinpoint Jordan Charles pass.

This was followed by two penalties in quick succession. Ben Haines and Stevens were both upended in the box to allow VanDriel to complete his hat-trick. Dan Watson teed up Dan Gonzalez for a seventh.
