Henry’s debut song Lost Days was released in September 2014, a track that had a huge impact online with over a million views on YouTube. The song was written after the death of his brother Tom, a result of alcohol abuse. On the back of the song, Henry is now part of a schools and prison programme having been backed, supported, tweeted etc by celebrities including Lorraine Kelly, England rugby players Olly Barkley and Mike Tindall, Adam Woodyatt (EastEnders), Abi Phillips (Hollyoaks), Dan Walker, Michael Collings (Britain’s Got Talent) and John Challis (Boycie from Only Fools and Horses).

Henry’s new music video is You’re Beautiful, available from iTunes. Challis and Simon Weston both feature.

Henry explains: “The narrative focuses around the ideology that nobody is perfect, regardless of their background or sex, relating to the idea that everyone is beautiful in their own right. The main theme is about self-acceptance.”

Henry wrote the song after being diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 14. A fit young lad who played rugby for his school, the local rugby club and the county, he suddenly found himself struck down and was out of school for nearly a whole academic year, in and out of hospital, faced with operations and hospital appointments which continue to this day.

Henry says he has good days and bad days, but through the pain he always wears a smile on his face, he says. The message he wants to get across is that someone may look ‘normal’ but never judge a book by its cover.

“Some diseases can be seen. However the secret message behind this video is that I have an unseen disability, and to the eye I look ‘normal’.”
