Kim said: “Sarah and I first met when we were both students at art college back in the late 60s, but our first opportunity to exhibit together came in 1998 when we showed our work in Covent Garden. Our first two-man show was in France in 2007, and our second was in Hammersmith in 2013.

“As with all artists, we are constantly evolving and experimenting, and at the moment most of our ideas are inspired by nature and the natural environment. Sarah’s sculptures are made from carefully-selected found objects and are based very much on Wabi Sabi thoughts and ideas.

“Kim’s work is less intellectual and more intuitive, playing with ephemeral glimpses of light and shade in small corners of the landscape. Her work is also much influenced by the weather, the seasons and the time of day. These fleeting images are developed as oil or acrylic paintings, collages or intense charcoal drawings.

“The exhibition runs from March 14-27 in the Wilson Studio at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts, off East Street, Chichester which is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-4.30pm, and there will be a meet-the-artists day on Saturday, March 26 when we will be at the gallery all day to welcome people and talk about our work.”
