BUSINESS AWARDS 2015: Estate agent hopes to take the crown

Bognor Regis-based Crown Properties has been up and running only since last July, but is already up for the award following its recent nomination.

Its nomination form said: “Hannah Halls and Oliver Goddard are two Bognor Regis-based, young entrepreneurs, aged 24 and 26 respectively.

“They have grasped the new start-up concept with huge enthusiasm and maturity and in this, their first year, have a portfolio of properties on their books.”

It has been a non-stop journey since the company was officially founded in January, 2014, with the company open from 8am-9pm, seven days per week.

“It’s so true what they say when you start off a business – you sleep under the desk,” said Hannah.

The pair both went to Bognor Regis Community College, now The Regis School.

Hannah used to work for a high-street firm but said it was ‘refreshing’ to be able to be part of Crown Properties.

She said they aimed to be really personal and honest with customers.

At the moment they are involved only with homes for sale, however there are plans to eventually go into the rental market as well.

She said they were really pleased to have been nominated for the awards.

“It makes it all feel worth something, it’s great if you get recognised,” said Hannah.

The pair have also undertaken to support the homeless by donating £100 from every successful sale to Stonepillow.

“We found it really important that we gave back to the community,” said Hannah.

“It’s not just about what we can achieve, it’s about what we can give back as well.

“Fair enough, we can’t sell to them (the homeless) but we can give back to them.”
