An Eastbourne leisure centre has set its sights on a reopening date.

The Sovereign Centre has informed members today (February 23) it intends to open on April 12 following the government’s roadmap announcement.

The roadmap specifies indoor leisure facilities can open in step two of the plan.

A spokesperson for the centre said, “There is finally light at the end of the tunnel with a date that we might potentially be able to welcome you back.

“If all goes well then we look forward to reopening our doors on the April 12.”
