Blessed Yoga, based at the The Cowshed in Sidlesham Common, is hoping to raise £1,000 which will be split between two charities Chichester's UKHarvest, which is on a mission to eliminate hunger and reduce food waste, and mental health support charity Mind.

Helen Pine, community manager at Blessed Yoga, said: "We'd love as many people as possible to join our 12 Days of Christmas challenge - although it began on December 1st, there is still plenty of time to join in and donate and to practise every day for 12 days, whenever you choose.

"2020 has been an unprecedented year. Demand for food banks has soared and job losses and cutbacks have seen many families struggling just to put food on the table. Fund-raising activities have been badly hit with the cancellation of so many live events.

"We have live, online yoga classes every day of the week, to suit all levels. All you have to do is donate whatever you can on our Just Giving Page, and you're good to go. We'd love non-members to do the same and join in too. Please register your details on the Blessed Yoga app and join us as a monthly member which gives you unlimited access to all of our live classes.

"Most people have committed to practising every day for 12 days, wearing something Christmassy so the teachers can spot them and give them a shout out, but if they just want to donate, of course, we'd be so grateful."

Participants are sent an email playbook with giveaways and prizes to be won, so far this includes a Blessed Journal worth £10, a Blessed scented candle worth £22 and a top prize of a months free membership with Blessed Yoga.
