A spokesman for Sainsbury's said: "We’re looking forward to bringing our new Neighbourhood Hub store format to Midhurst, which will stock a wide range of popular everyday essentials including household products, ready meals, fresh produce and food to go.

"Our store will also offer some exciting new features, including an Argos collection point, a pizza counter and a selection of beauty products, as well as fresh juice and coffee.

"The car wash facility in the store car park was managed via a separate arrangement between the Budgens store owners and the car wash company. We will not be continuing with this arrangement, as car washes are not routinely provided in Sainsbury’s store car parks of this size and we need to ensure there is adequate parking for our customers.

"We are striving to provide the best possible mix of services for our customers, whilst protecting the amenity of our neighbours. We’ve been delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response from local people since we announced our new store and look forward to welcoming local people through our doors later this year."
