James Stone, owner of Bangerz and Burgerz, said the new site should open in Chichester's South Street early next year.

He said: "We are a family run business, me my brother and sister and we are all from Chichester originally. It's our home town so it is really exciting to try and open something here.

"It has been the dream to try and open one of our shops back here so we are really excited about this one."

James said he had his eye on the South Street site following fond memories of when it was Game Station when he was a youngster. Most recently it was the GAME shop.

The Stone siblings have two restaurants in Southsea and one in Brighton and aims to bring craft beer, burgers, hotdogs and street art all under one roof.

Around 17 different artists have been approached for work inside the newest shop and the restaurant has gone 'all out' on a full vegan menu.

James estimates about 20 jobs will be created and the team is aiming to hire most of them from the JobCentre in Chichester after a tumultuous year which has left many jobless.

"This is the thing I am most proud of," James said, "even our store managers - most of them started from the beginning with JobCentre.

"We have always been really focused on our delivery service which has been a major part of our business - especially now."

"It's pretty difficult for our industry at the moment so we are taking it easy and slowly."

James said the restaurant does not have an official opening date but the aim is to open up to the public before the end January. He added: "Hopefully something before then but we are going to see how we go."
