An estate spokesperson added: "As we head into the Christmas period we will operate the pre booking system for our car park as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

"At this time of year most of our car park fields are shut as they become home to the Brent Geese who have returned from Siberia.

"Due to recent heavy rainfall what little excess car park space we have is severely waterlogged.

"With more rain forecast these areas are likely to remain unusable. As a result, spaces are limited so we ask you kindly to pre book your space via the JustPark app at least one day before you visit.

"Please help us in the work we do to preserve the natural environment around us and keep all who visit safe.

"We continue to work tirelessly to ensure the beach remains open and accessible over this challenging time, please help us to continue doing this."
