Tom Rollings, director of Fishers Farm Park, said: “After the terrible times most of the nation have endured during lockdown, it was just incredible to receive this highly acclaimed and prestigious award, and a pleasure to be a part of the awards event.

“What an incredible ‘springboard’ to be able to open again with this exciting award behind us. We could not have done it without our incredible team, who we are really looking forward to having back!

“We continue to re-invest each year and deliver new attractions for our visitors, as well as maintaining an exceptional level of customer service, and it really means the world to us that our efforts have paid off and been recognised.

“Thank you so much to all at The Beautiful South in what must have been a tricky event to organise this year - we are truly grateful.”

The Beautiful South Awards, hosted virtually on Thursday, March 4, was hailed a resounding success as it celebrated the cream of the South East’s tourism businesses.

Sixty-three businesses and tourism professionals received gold, silver or bronze awarded over a day of ceremonies. Despite the unprecedented year, the show did go on.

Fran Downton, chief executive of Tourism South East, said: “Congratulations to all our finalists. Achieving excellence is not easy, particularly in the year we have just navigated.

“All the finalists can be extremely proud of what they have achieved. I was blown away by the quality, positivity, and innovation of the tourism businesses we have across the South East.

“Many of the winners are truly world class. I am extremely grateful to the sponsors and voluntary judges who make the awards possible.

“Thank you also to my co-host and headline sponsor, Andrew from the Grand Brighton, who ensured that although we could not be there in person, all our finalists were extended a warm welcome. We look forward to celebrating with our winners and working alongside them as they lead the way in a year of recovery.”

Fishers Adventure Farm Park is now celebrating 31 years in the business, with the original founders Tim and Trina Rollings still very much involved, along with their son Tom and his wife Katie Rollings.

This year they are hoping to open a brand-new section of the park, with more details being released soon.

Fishers re-opened again on Monday, April 12, with tickets available online only.
