An application was submitted by Burrell Education in February for the change of use of 1-3 Third Floor, South Street to a health and wellbeing education studio.

The plans were given the go-ahead by Chichester District Council last Friday (April 24).

According to the planning documents, the aim was to provide 'revolutionary women's wellness, fitness and therapy education'.

The building sits above retailer Russell and Bromley and the studio would be operated 9am to 5pm all week.

The applicant said: “This space will be used as an academy for the soft tissue therapy (massage) part of my business primarily.

"As part of offering soft tissue therapies, there are other adjunct modalities that go alongside, such as meditation and rehabilitation style exercise.

"I plan to have 15 massage beds which equates to a maximum of 30 students in a class at any one time.”
