Prom Pitstop kiosk gains top food hygiene rating

The Prom Pitstop kiosk, in the skatepark opposite the Royal Norfolk Hotel, has been awarded a five- star food hygiene rating by Arun District Council.

The kiosk has been in the same spot for about the past 15 years, and current owner Alan McTernan has operated it for the past three years.

Mr McTernan was pleased his team had received the recognition they deserve, being extremely proud of all their hard work and dedication.

He said: “It is brilliant I am exceptionally proud of all of them.

“The whole team has worked incredibly hard and it has really paid off.”

Kiosk manager Kenton Batley said his team would continue working hard to maintain the high standards they have set.

The 34-year-old said: “We all worked together as a team to get this award and we will all work together as a team to keep it.

“I am extremely pleased with the award – as is everyone.”
