The food retailer’s second new ‘concept store’ – West Cornwall Food Co – has been unveiled to the public today (August 5), situated in North Street.

This comes after receiving outstanding results from their first refurbished store in Canterbury, with sales 50 per cent up on 2015.

Executive chairman for WCPCo, Chris Peck, said: “The results of Canterbury speak for themselves – it was an important high street test site for us which has proven from the start that the formula works.

“We are planning a roll out across a selection of UK high streets over the coming months.”

He added: “The friendly local shop feel and approachable nature of both Chichester and Canterbury allows us a fantastic opportunity to reach out to the high street and meet everyday customers needs with our comfortable seating areas as well as our fast and efficient take-out service for those on the go.”

The new Chichester store features more detail on store design, with the interior and exterior overhaul making the most of original features whilst using heritage materials and fabrics to remind customers of the brand’s strong Cornish heritage.
