An official date has been announced for when Langney Post Office will reopen – after more than a year.

The service in Langney Shopping Centre closed on January 12, 2019.

It had been at 62 Kingfisher Drive, but the new Post Office will open next door in 64 Kingfisher Drive on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

However the opening, planned at 1pm, is subject to any delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Its planned opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am-5.30pm, which means it will offer 51 hours of Post Office service a week.

Post Office services will be provided from two open-plan counters alongside the retail till of the convenience store.

A spokesperson said, “The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move.

“We are looking for feedback about accessibility, local community issues and anything that we can do to make life easier for our customers.”

The consultation will close on May 21, 2020. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 202907
