A-LEVELS: Billingshurst’s Weald School hails ‘strong’ set of results

Students at the Weald School in Billingshurst are celebrating a bumper crop of A level results this morning (Thursday August 15).

Star performers included Chris Khoo who achieved five A* to secure his place at Robinson College Cambridge to study Natural Sciences, Dan Pettitt with three A* and one A, Cameron Thompson with two A* and two A, and Josephine Burgin with two A* and two A.

Peter Woodman, headteacher, said: “Our results have continued to improve despite a national tightening on grades.

Students have achieved the highest average point score per entry in the school’s history.”

28 per cent of all grades were either A or A*, while 60 per cent of grades at A*-B and 84 per cent of grades at A*-C.

Mr Woodman added that 21 students achieved the equivalent of three grade As or better.
