In addition to this, the performance of students on vocational programmes at the college has remained well above the national average.

Mike Gaston, principal and chief executive of South Downs College, said, “This is another successful year of A-level and vocational results here at South Downs College, reflecting the extraordinary hard work and commitment of another year of students, and the staff who have taught and supported them.

“The quality of our academic, professional and technical programmes has, once again, enabled large numbers of our students to pursue their dreams and, with more people than ever before likely to go onto university, I am confident that we have added significantly to the opportunities local young people can aspire to.

“I am particularly pleased that, alongside our close partners at Havant Sixth Form College, we have enabled young people from the local region to achieve over 2800 full A-level pass grades.
