A vaccination service will be launched at Riverbank Medical Surgery in Midhurst to serve residents in the north of the Chichester district, including those registered at Petworth Surgery.

A service in Pulborough has already started to deliver the vaccine for patients registered at Pulborough Medical Group and Loxwood Surgery. Two sites in the south, at the Selsey Centre and Tangmere Village Centre, will begin vaccinating people over the age of 80, as soon as they receive their deliveries.

Dr Paul Fludder, GP Partner at Riverbank Medical Centre, said: "The staff are ready to start providing the Covid-19 vaccine to our local population however we are still awaiting delivery of the vaccine from NHS England.

"There does appear to be a delay in the process which, if we are honest, is frustrating.

"Every effort is being made to chase this and as soon as we have a delivery date for the vaccine we will call eligible patients in line with government guidelines.

"In the mean time we would encourage patients to look at our website for more information rather than phoning the practice."
