"We didn't want their parents to have to come in to us so we said to email it. We went and got a coloured printer.

At the Observer, we have amended our front page masthead this week to include a rainbow to reflect our support for the hundreds of thousands of people up and down the country who are doing incredible work on our behalf.

It is a small gesture to show the huge debt of gratitude that we, and members of the community we serve, owe to these people.
