Tomorrow (Saturday, October 4) students and parents are being called to help The Angmering School break the ground on its new commemorative display.

Neighbours near the secondary school are also being invited to join the effort, which takes place from 10am until 3pm.

A spokeswoman from Angmering explained this is a start of a scheme which will more than likely be added to during the coming years.

She said: “We envisage this to be a place for students to find peace and quiet in what is usually a busy environment.”

Tomorrow’s aim is to create the foundations for a path with wheelchair access and begin initial work on a floral sensory garden in the afternoon.

People do not need to confirm they are coming along, they just need to bring a shovel, spade, wheelbarrow or good spirit.

Those attending should bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be supplied.

Parking is available in the school’s car park, off Station Road.
