CHARITY: Swimming for 4Sight

4Sight is staging a swim as the first of a series of sponsored activities entitled Go The Distance to celebrate its 90th birthday.

The event will take place from 5pm-9pm on Saturday, June 11, at the Arun Leisure Centre in Felpham.

4Sight would like people to register in advance for the event by calling 01243 838008 or visiting www.4sightsussex.co.uk

Lisa Foard, the charity’s fundraising and events co-ordinator, said: “We really want this to be a fun event.

“There is no pressure to swim a certain distance or raise a high amount.

“Go The Distance 4Sight is all about people pushing themselves.

“So, all we ask is that people swim as far as they can for as long as they can and raise as much money as they possibly can.”

There is no entry fee, no minimum distance to swim and no minimum sponsorship to raise.

All the money raised will support local blind and partially-sighted people.
