The scene depicting some of Santa’s helpers unpacking boxes for the December orders in their jerseys embroidered with ‘CJH’ helped CJ Hampshire win this year’s Midhurst Town Council Christmas Shop Window Awards top prize.

In the Rumbolds Hill shop window the boxes were all branded and there were little models of the white goods, with a calendar for deliveries.

Carol Lintot said: “It was all very well thought out.”
