“It’s easy to slip into a pattern of staying at home especially at the moment, but getting out and about is one of the best things you can do to stay happy and healthy. This is a start to a well-needed support group within the community.

“We aim to create a non-judgemental, friendly, inclusive space for us and our children aged under five. Some families are led by solo parents or cares, some have two mums or two dads or both but whoever is included in the family, everyone is welcome, and we look forward to meeting you.”

Membership is open to ALL LGBTQ parents, prospective parents and their children under five. It is a non-profit organisation and is free to join. The group will bring people together who are going through or have gone through similar experiences and help them share personal experiences, feelings and coping strategies.

Libby added: “Some LGBTQ people who are thinking about starting a family or getting pregnant can feel quite isolated so this service will provide important information about how to get started.”
