COFFEE: The Hotham Park Heritage Trust will be holding their annual Macmillan Coffee Morning in Hotham Park, Bognor Regis. The morning starts at 11am finishing at 2pm. Cakes and coffee or tea will be found in the Lodge at the main entrance to the park. Everyone is invited to this enjoyable event for a great cause. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
EXHIBITIONS: Garrick Palmer – Paintings, Prints and Photographs (A series of recent large paintings as well as a cross section of varied works, spanning the last 50 plus years(; Sam Mackinnon – Beneath the Waves (Evocative and colourful underwater marine scenes); Mihaela Toader – Ethereal Worlds (A solo exhibition of paintings and watercolour, where the inner life of the subjects is left to our imagination); Created in Portsmouth. A lunchtime talk with Bill Martin exploring the development of the Sidlesham Land Settlement Association as a significant local and national historic event. COFFEE: Chichester Yacht Club is hosting a coffee and cake morning as part of Macmillan’s World Biggest Coffee Morning. The club will be open to the public and members from 10am-12pm to enjoy tea, coffee and cakes with a £4 donation to Macmillan, the charity whose goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. Macmillan provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support as well as campaigning for better cancer care. Chichester Yacht Club is at Chichester marina, Birdham. During the morning there will also be a raffle and music, including a performance on a mini harp by yacht club member David Roberts.
COFFEE: You are invited to join us for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2016 at The Co-operative Funeralcare, 6 Nyetimber Lane, Rose Green, PO21 3HG. 11am – 3pm. We will be serving tea, coffee and juice along with lots of cake! We will also be having activities such as ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ and ‘How many sweets in the jar’ to try and raise as much money as possible for such an amazing cause.
COFFEE: As though My Sisters’ House CIC (Arun and Chichester Women’s Centre) don’t do enough to help the community, they are taking time out to lend some support to the wonderful Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in their ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. 10am-12pm at their drop in at 108c London Road, (opposite the library) Bognor Regis, PO21 1BD, the doors will be open for coffee and cake. VIGIL: A vigil to be held outside the magistrates’ court to mark the closing of the courts in Chichester. All day - stay for as long or short a time as suits you. This is an important event that must be marked and not pass unnoticed. Bring a candle, bring a flower and pause and spend a moment in silence outside the building. Dresscode: black
COFFEE: The Body Clinic in Felpham Village is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning between 10am to 12pm. Pop along for a slice of cake, cuppa and chat with friends. Have a go at “Spot the Cake” and win half the sweep stake money, or try your luck at our tombola. Last year was a fantastic success, let’s make it happen again!
HARVEST: You are warmly invited to celebrate harvest at St Nicholas, Middleton at 10am. We shall be joined by years One and Two of Bishop Tufnell Infant School, for harvest songs, prayers, and readings, lasting about half an hour. Items of tinned/dried food can be brought, for distribution through Bognor Regis’ food bank. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
COFFEE: Macmillan Coffee morning – Pop-Up Cafe. 10am-12pm. The Tuppenny Barn Pop-Up Café will be open as we take part in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. We hope to get lots of people together for tea, coffee and cake, all proceeds of which will go to Macmillan, as well as additional donations which can be made to Macmillan on the day. There are now a staggering 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be four million people, and Macmillan wants to be there for them all. FUNDRAISING: The Lions Clubs of the local regions, Bognor, Chichester, Midhurst, Selsey and District and Southbourne will be at the Cross in Chichester on Saturday 1st October between 10am and 3pm. Lions have been around for 50 years raising money and help for for local communities and individuals and Saturday is a way of saying thank you for the support given and to encourage more people to join, support and donate. We will also be promoting the sale of our raffle tickets to win a flight in a spitfire for the Sussex, Surrey and Kent Air Ambulance, last few remaining.

FLOWERS: Yapton and District Cottage Gardeners Society will be holding their annual autumn flower show between 2pm and 4pm in the Yapton and Ford Village Hall, Main Road, Yapton, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0ET. As well as seasonal flowers and vegetables on display, there are also classes for cookery, handicraft, photography, children’s handicraft, floral art and novelty veg. WALK: Chichester walls walk, 2pm. Do come along on this free guided walk around the most intact Roman Walls in the South of England. It will be led by Margaret Henderson, a committee member of the Chichester Walls Trust. Please meet at the Cathedral Bell Tower at 2pm. The walk will finish at about 3.30pm. This Walk takes place on the first Sunday of every month. Donations to the work of the Walls Trust are welcome. A full-colour souvenir Walls Guide (£3) is available to buy, as is the large full-colour book about the history of the Walls (£9).
