Paul Jones at Westergate Revival

PAUL Jones, of Mannfred Mann, and his wife Fiona Hendley Jones will be presenting a night of conversation and music this month for Westergate Revival.

They will tell how ‘Faith in God changed their lives’ at Westergate Community School, Lime Avenue, Westergate, on Wednesday, July 10, at 7pm.

Paul, who turned down the chance to become the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, went on to become part of Manfred Mann. His career also included forming the Blues Band, a weekly show on Radio Two, and appearances in Cats, The Beggar’s Opera, Kiss me Kate and Guys and Dolls where he met Fiona.

Fiona was an acclaimed actor in her own right, winning the Showbiz Personality of the Year Award for her role in Widows.

The pair became Christians following an invitation from Cliff Richard to listen to evangelist Louis Palau.

They now travel around the country sharing the news which changed their lives.

The event is free but there will be opportunities to donate.
