SONY announced that restoration to their PlayStation Network will begin today with all services being fully restored by this evening.
This comes after the online gaming service was forced to close for more than a month following one of the largest cyber-attacks the network, known as PSN, had ever experienced.
Credit card details of millions of gamers, across the globe, were said to be at risk after an unknown group hacked into the gaming giant’s servers, last April.
Sony has apologised for the incident saying that they are continuing their investigations into the hacking.
However the company is stil urging gamers to regularly change their network ID passwords as a precautionary measure.
A “welcome back” package will be available on the PlayStation®Store for all registered PSN users.
