200 riders support Bulldog Rescue

Around 200 scooters from local clubs made their annual pilgrimage to the Bulldog Rescue headquarters in Carron Lane for the Midhurst Scootering and Bulldog event.

Organised by Tina Hall of the Midhurst Detours Scooter Club, the event welcomed scooterists from as far away as Dorset and Hastings, and included the ‘Pompey Invasion’, as clubs from across Portsmouth met to ride to Midhurst together.

Riders dropped off dog food, washing powder and donations at the kennels.

The residents of the lane came out of their homes to offer parking on their front gardens and join in the hour long event

The participants then went to the Greyhound pub where the landlord put on a special outdoor bar and BBQ with music supplied by Terry Hendrick, playing a mixture of Northern Soul and Ska/Reggae.

Tania Holmes, CEO of the Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming Trust would like to thank everyone that took part and to the residents of Midhurst who seemed to enjoy the annual scooter invasion for a local charity.

Bulldog Rescue is a mainly voluntary organisation, offering a Rescue and Rehoming service for pure bred bulldogs across the UK.
