Groups in Petworth will get the chance to showcase their activities on Friday evening (May 26) when the town council hosts its annual meeting in the Leconfield Hall.

Nearly 20 organisations will be putting on displays for members of the public from 6.30pm.

They include scouts, youth groups, Petworth and District Community Association, the churches, community garden, PetFringe, the town band, twinning association and the primary school.

Nine groups will be giving presentations to the meeting which starts at 7pm in the upper hall.

There will also be an overview of the work of the town council in the last year from its chairman Chris Kemp. This will be followed by reports from West Sussex county councillor Janet Duncton and Chichester district councillor Eileen Lintill.
