THERE will be a taste of the Mediterranean on offer to shoppers in Midhurst on Saturday, March 14, when the Italian market returns to the town.
Traders will be setting up their stalls in the Market Square from 9am.
They will be selling everything from pizza to traditional cheeses and sauces and pasta specialities of the south.
During the day, the mood will be set with an accordion player performing a series of Italian songs.
Myles Cullen, cabinet member for commercial services at Chichester District Council, said: “The visit follows the success of last year’s event in September so we are really looking forward to welcoming this traditional Italian market to the town’s historic Market Square.
“Residents and visitors have really enjoyed the special events we have helped bring to this part of Midhurst, including the live reindeer before Christmas.
“Feedback has been extremely positive so I do hope as many people as possible come along to enjoy this authentic taste of Italy.”
Among the produce available will be breads, Lombardy cheeses, pasta and sauces, Italian snack foods, biscuits, cakes and pastries, salami and meats.
