A259 closed after crash

THE A259 is closed this morning (Wednesday, May 19) after a car and a motorbike collided.

Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway of the Littlehampton bypass, between the Body Shop roundabout and Esporta, just after 8am.

A black car, which was travelling east, hit the central reservation, and ended up on the other side of the road.

No was trapped or injured, but the car was severely damaged by the impact.

The road is expected to be closed until about 9.30am while it is made safe.
