Abduction bid: Big response to Crimewatch appeal.
EXTRA police may be drafted in to help in the search for the monster who tried to abduct an eight-year-old Bexhill girl.
Reconstruction of the incident on BBC1's Crimewatch programme brought a big response from viewers.
Detective Inspector Trevor Bowles, leading the hunt, said more than 50 calls were received within an hour of the broadcast.
These would be followed up.
He said an incident room may be set up.
The attempted abduction took place in the Woodsgate Avenue area on May 18.
