She told town councillors: “I suggest a more secure fence be erected and ultimately it should be moved to a safer place. My concern was that this sort of structure attracts these sort of people and worse as it offers them cover and a place to doss!”

She is angry neighbours were not consulted on the siting of the play area and no-one listened when they said the area was prone to flooding.

Town council chairman Chris Kemp said: “We are happy to discuss Tracey’s concerns with her. Sadly people will get through any fence if they want to, but we are inspecting it regularly and trying to ensure it is secure. We cannot take it down until ROSPA are satisfied there are no trip hazards.” He said work would be carried out to meet safety standards when the ground dried out.
