Appeal to find two young women approached by man in Burgess Hill

Police are trying to trace two young women who were approached by a man in Burgess Hill.

Sussex Police said officers received a third-party report of a man behaving suspiciously around two women in Church Road shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday (June 18).

The victims, thought to be teenagers, left the scene before their details could be taken, the force said.

Police are now keen to find them to check their welfare and to obtain details about the incident.

Inspector Darren Taylor said: “It’s vital we make contact with these young women to offer them support and ascertain exactly what happened so we can move forward with an investigation.”
