Artistic talents on show at Claverham

The Adult Education Department at Claverham Community College in Battle celebrated the start of Adult Learners’ Week with a exhibition which showcased the amazing talent of the creative arts and crafts students.

There was a wide variety of exhibits on display including flower painting, silver work and ornate jewellery, floristry arrangements, photography, sewing items and wood carvings - some of which were exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show this year.

More than 60 people took part in the workshops on offer which included Felt Making, Funky Jewellery, Something To Suit your ‘Pallet’, Tasty Tapas and Summer Stroll before all sat down to enjoy a light lunch.

The day was declared a huge success by all concerned and the college hopes to organise a similar event in the future.
