Battle Abbey reception as local girl marries Royal Marine

Marie Phillips, daughter of Mick and Lynn Phillips, of Hastings, married Lieutenant John Mooney of the Royal Marines.

They were married at St. Mary’s church, Battle, and greeted by a guard of honour from John’s colleagues at HMS Excellent. The reception was held at Battle Abbey. The couple will set up home in Dorset.
