Beach team ready to patrol

BEXHILL Beach Patrol showed off their summer colours as they prepare for what is typically their busiest time of year.

The trained lifesavers will be easy to spot in their new yellow and red uniforms, as they keep an eye on the water and promenades around Bexhill, to keep the public safe near the coast.

This summer the team will conduct special patrols around the Herbrand Walk section of beach, making sure swimmers and jet skiers can enjoy the water together.

"We will make sure those on jet skis are in the jet ski lane and swimmers stay in the swimming lane," said Coastal Control Officer, Patrick Meyer.
