Bexhill's town hall fun day

Bexhill Town Hall will be transformed into a family fun area later this month.

Following last year's successful event, Rother District Council will be opening its doors for families to discover the services available to them by meeting Rother staff and their partner organisations.

The free event, which will be held during the half-term holiday on Monday October 26, will include a 'dinosaur fossil find', face painting, music, various games, plus arts and crafts for children.

Youngsters will even get the chance to have their picture taken in the chairman's seat in the council chamber.

Adults will have the opportunity to learn more about the many services families can use within Rother and ask questions.

The session is being run by the council in partnership with Rother Children's Centres.

The council's chief executive, Derek Stevens, said: "This is a great opportunity for families to have fun and learn more about the diverse range of services provided by the council and its partners.

"It is also a perfect opportunity for residents who would not otherwise visit the council chamber to come and have a look round. I hope as many people as possible will take advantage of this great opportunity."

The event will run from 1pm to 4pm.
