Car parking: When will the castle get the car parking right? On February 19th we had cars up to Knollys that could not get in to the castle car park. Some money has been put into the car park by the trust, but perhaps some could be made available for staffing. S I said last year, yu can phone the trust and let them now your feelings on the matter. Also the wood that is in the car park is to help parking, not for firewood, so please do not take it.

Alfred Hurley: The service for Alfred took place but you can still donate to either prostate cancer or Macmillan. Donations can be sent care of Mercer Funeral Directors, 29 Sedlescombe Road, St Leonards, TN37 7DA. It will be sad not to see Alfred at village events. The last time i saw him was at the village fireworks at The Castle inn.

Tracy Barnett: it’s good to hear that Tracy Barnett has received her MBE for her contribution to voluntary services at home and abroad. People like Tracy improve the lives of people. In the old days of Bodiam Cricket she put in a lot of work for the club.
