Bognor swimmers clock up miles and cash

A total of 31 teams took part, ranging from junior school children to rugby teams, at the centre in Felpham Way, Felpham.

Each team swam for 55 minutes and for as many lengths as possible to claim their sponsorship. Around 4,000 was raised.

The swimmers covered more than 44 miles during the four hours and each proudly left with a certificate showing how far their team swam.

Bognor Regis Lions Club is very grateful to all those who took part and is already arranging the 15th Swimathon for next October.
