Firefighters are tackling a blaze which has broken out in a chimney at the Bricklayers Arms in Midhurst.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called the the pub, a the junction where Wool Lane meets West Street at 4pm this afternoon (Tuesday, February 19).
Pub landlord, Paul Blackmun, alerted the service when he heard a ‘roaring’ noise coming from the chimney.
Firefighters are working to put out the fire from the roof and interior of the pub.
No one was hurt in the incident.
