POLICE and fire services have been called to a helicopter crash at Goodwood airfield.
The exact nature of the on-going incident is currently unclear but West Sussex Fire and Rescue services confirmed they were called at 3.14 today to an incident involving a R22 helicopter.
It is thought no one has been injured and that two adults were released from the helicopter by Goodwood’s fire service.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue said they were stood down without attending the scene.
Sussex Police confirmed: “We were contacted shortly before 3.20pm with a report that a helicopter had crashed at Goodwood Airfield.
“Officers went to the scene along with fire and ambulance crews but the two people who were on board the helicopter are not thought to have been injured.
“The incident will be passed to the Air Accident Investigation Branch to look into.”
