BREAKING NEWS: Power cut across Chichester and Bognor

Around 2,500 homes were initially affected and although most are now back on, around 1,000 properties are still without power.

People are understood to have been affected in Chichester, Bosham, Fishbourne, Selsey, Westergate and beyond.

Southern Electric has apologised for the fault and said it should soon be repaired.

SouthernelecPD tweeted: “Apologies for the #PowerCut affecting #Chichester & surrounding areas of #WestSussex.

“We’re on our way to locate & repair the fault.”
