BREAKING: '˜Several police officers and paramedics' at Rye incident

There were reportedly several police officers and paramedics attending an incident in Rye this afternoon (Wednesday, July 20).

Eye-witness Jeff Hulbert said there was one police car, an unmarked police car, three paramedics two ambulances and the air ambulance on Rye Hill, which were first seen at around 4.30pm.

The air ambulance and paramedics have now left in the direction of the A259 with their lights flashing.

Police are controlling traffic while emergency services deal with the incident. It is not clear at the moment what has happened.
